Abandoned But Beautiful: Cincinnati’s Abandoned Subway Depot

In Ohio, Cincinnati you find the Cincinnati Subway. A set of unused tunnels and stations for a rapid transit system beneath the streets of Cincinnati. It is seen as the largest abandoned subway tunnel in the US. The construction took place in the early 20th century, but the project was never completed.

The Project That Was never Completed

The project of the Cincinnati subway is described as “one of the city’s biggest embarrassments”, and “one of Cincinnati’s biggest failures”. But it forces the citizens to rely to their car, and there are too many highways and parking lots.

All attempts and proposals to finish the tunnels have only ended in failures so far.
